All prices are in New Zealand dollars and exclude GST and support costs. There are no physical shipments. All prices are for electronic download only.

Pricing of Athenaeum is based upon:

• which Athenaeum (with or without the MARC decoder)
• how many distinct libraries to catalogue
• any extras - for example, data import, training, support, bar code scanners or bar code labels

The pricing of FileMaker Pro 8 is based upon:

• the number of networked computers
• whether you need FileMaker Server 8 or FileMaker Server 8 Advanced

A stand-alone copy of Athenaeum works on a single computer only. If you have FileMaker Pro 8, you may be supplied passwords that allow you to make limited changes to Athenaeum.

When you purchase Athenaeum, you only need to purchase a single copy per school site for a single catalogue (if your school is multiple sites and/or has multiple independent catalogues, you must purchase Athenaeum for each site). If you already are licensed to use FileMaker Pro 8 on computers that would access the library, you do not need to purchase additional FileMaker Pro 8 licenses.

To network Athenaeum (where multiple computers can administer, issue, return or just browse the catalogue), you must purchase one or more licenses of FileMaker Pro 8.

• You may have up to 5 licenses of FileMaker Pro 8 connecting "peer-to-peer" before going to "Client/Server".
• You may have up to 5 simultaneous web clients "peer-to-peer". You may have more when using FileMaker Server Advanced.

FileMaker is available at special prices for educational institutions. Schools that already own sufficient licenses of FileMaker Pro 8 need only purchase the stand-alone option below.

In the matrix below, each computer that can optionally administer, issue or return or browse using FileMaker Pro 8. These computers will be running Windows 2000, XP or Mac OS X 10.3.5 or higher. Earlier operating systems are not supported.

In the matrix below, "web" means a computer running a Javascript enabled web browser. From the FileMaker web-site, the following are the requirements for the web browser:

To use a database shared with Instant Web Publishing, web users need Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.x or Firefox 1.x on Windows. On the Mac OS, users need Safari 1.1.x (Mac OS X 10.2), Safari 1.2.x (Mac OS X 10.3), Safari 2.0.x (Mac OS X 10.4) or Firefox 1.x only. On both platforms, some earlier versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer and Safari are blocked. Other Mozilla family browsers are not blocked but are unsupported and users will receive a warning encouraging them to upgrade to a supported browser. JavaScript must be enabled in the web browser.

"MARC" is a utility that reformats MARC 21 data for import into Athenaeum.

FileMaker Server 8 software can additional stations (up to 250 Filemaker Pro clients) to your network.

FileMaker Server 8 Advanced can support up to 100 simultaneous web connections as well as 250 FileMaker Pro clients.

The FileMaker K-12 Annual Site License Agreement will licence all versions of FileMaker Pro for every computer it uses, as well as teacher's own computers.
